Patricia Stoppiello passed away peacefully on August 13, 2023 surrounded by her family. Born of Daniel McMillen and Jeanette Kaiser on Oct.17th, 1937 in Richmond County, NY. She is predeceased by her husband, Louis, and sister, Paula Milazzo. Patricia was a registered nurse and dedicated her 30-year career to helping the sick and injured as an emergency room nurse at Maimonides Medical Center. Elizabeth Jane Kain, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, August 15 at the age of 78. Born on October 20, 1944, in Brooklyn, NY, “Betty” was the youngest of three girls born to Bridget and Thomas Horan. Elizabeth moved to Staten Island upon marrying David Kain. They were married for nearly 58 wonderful years. She worked for State Assemblyman Robert Straniere. Her love of politics carried into retirement as she continued to be actively involved with the NYS Election Board. In her spare time, Elizabeth enjoyed playing tennis, investing in the stock market, traveling with her husband, organizing girls’ trips with her close group of friends, hosting family BBQ’s and especially dancing. Native Staten Islander Joanne Matheson, 78, passed on Thursday, July 27, 2023. She attended Port Richmond High School, and worked for NYC Social Services until her retirement.
