Charles J. Fallon, a cherished father and grandfather from Westerleigh, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2023. He was the beloved husband of Giovannina “Joy” Fallon, survived by his loving children, and grandchildren. He was a graduate of New Dorp High School and served in the U.S. Army and Navy. For decades, he loved birding and participated in Staten Island Spring and Christmas bird counts. Active in community service, Charles umpired for the Staten Island Softball Association, served as president of the Staten University Hospital South Chapter AARP, and was involved in various organizations, including Sons of Norway and the National Audubon Society.
