Robert Paone, fondly known as Bob, passed away peacefully at the age of 77 in Piermont, N.Y., on Thursday, March 14, 2024. Born on Feb. 20, 1947, on Staten Island, Bob’s life was marked by his dedication to service and his passion for cinematography. Bob proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. Following his military service, he pursued a fulfilling career in film for several decades. He found particular joy in his work on Woody Allen films, with credits including notable works like “The Purple Rose of Cairo,” “Manhattan,” and “Hannah and Her Sisters.” Bob shared 44 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Marlaine Paone, with whom he shared a deep bond and a mutual love for exploration and travel. Together, they experienced the world and created cherished memories. In addition to his wife, Bob was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Sophie Werlick, and brothers Cosmo and Gerald Paone. He is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends. Bob was remembered as a good-hearted and honorable man, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and dedication. Raymond Terry Jr., a cherished uncle, great-uncle, and cousin, passed away peacefully at the age of 89 on Monday, March 18, 2024. Born and raised in Holmdel, Raymond’s life was intertwined with the love of his life, his wife Rose Marie, with whom he shared 55 years of marriage. Raymond found solace and joy by the water, spending many years working in maintenance at Leonardo State Marina, where he delighted in watching boats go by.
