Staten Island prosecutor Thomas Litsky awarded 2023 Thomas E. Dewey medal

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Assistant District Attorney Thomas Litsky, who currently serves as chief of the Staten Island District Attorney’s Appeals Bureau, received the Thomas E. Dewey medal from the New York City Bar Association at its annual awards ceremony earlier this month.

“Since 1989, I have had the privilege of serving as a prosecutor and government lawyer in a variety of offices,” Litsky said. “I want to express my sincere gratitude to District Attorney Michael McMahon for his leadership and vision, his trust in me, and for welcoming me four years ago to the talented team of professionals he has assembled. Following that tenure, Litsky moved to the Bronx District Attorney’s Office, where he worked in the Trial Division from 2016 to 2018, until his departure to assume a position in the Appeals Bureau, where he was promoted to chief earlier this year.

“For nearly 35 years, Thomas Litsky has devoted his professional life to the people of New York, to the pursuit of justice under the law, and to the protection of public safety,” McMahon said in a statement. “ADA Litsky is…
