STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — With family members, friends and colleagues by her side, Susan Quirk was sworn in as New York State Supreme Court Justice earlier this month in the Felisa Rincon DeGautier (PS 376) Elementary School in Brooklyn.
Quirk will serve in Brooklyn’s Criminal Term.

Among the crowd of some 300 were New York City Mayor Eric Adams, Presiding Justice Hector D. LaSalle, Appellate Division Second Department, Assemblywoman Maritza Davila, Eric Gonzalez, District Attorney, Kings County, Judge Deborah A. Kaplan, Deputy Chief Administrative Judge, and Edwin G. Richardson-Mendelson, Deputy Chief Administrative Judge for Justice Initiatives.
Rev. Michael Martine, pastor of Holy Rosary R.C. Church in South Beach, offered the invocation.

Assemblywoman Maritza Davila, whose district covers the Bushwick community of Brooklyn and who is an advocate for community access to quality public education, administered the oath of office.
