STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — You don’t have to wait until Amazon Prime Day to save some serious cash on one of Apple’s most popular products.
While online shoppers often hold off on major purchases until Amazon’s annual Prime Day sale, scheduled for July 11 through July 12, those who act quickly can score an Apple iPad (9th Generation) right now for possibly the lowest price it’s ever been listed on the site.
The Apple iPad (9th Generation) is currently listed on Amazon for $279, a 15% savings from its usual price of $329.
However, the savings are even greater than first meets the eye.
At checkout, Amazon will apply a $29 coupon that brings the price down to just $250, nearly 25% below the usual listed price.
To get this low price, customers must select the Apple iPad (9th Generation) that comes with Wi-Fi connectivity and 64GB storage, as choosing the versions with Wi-Fi and cell data or 256GB will result in a significantly higher price.
While there’s a chance the price could drop even lower during the Prime Day sale, there’s no way to know for certain, meaning now could very well be the best time to buy.
Those looking for accessories to pair with their new tablet should consider the Apple Pencil, a popular stylus used for drawing, taking notes and signing documents, and the Apple Smart Keyboard, which attaches to the tablet and allows for a seamless typing experience.
Shoppers need to be a Prime member to cash in on Prime Day savings. If you’re not a Prime member yet, anyone can join and start a 30-day free trial at amazon.com/primeday to participate in Prime Day, get access to fast and free shipping, and enjoy entertainment benefits, like Prime Video, Prime Music and more.
Prime members pay an annual membership rate of $139 per year, or $14.99 per month. Prime student members pay $69 per year, or $7.49 per month. EBT and Medicaid recipients can snag a monthly rate of $6.99.
