Throw-in in Juan Soto trade, No. 2 prospect put on show in Yankees’ Grapefruit League opener

LAKELAND, Fla. — The second outfielder the Yankees acquired from the Padres in the Juan Soto deal has always hit for power and worked long at-bats, although the batting average has been historically low and the K-rate quite high.

In the Yankees’ spring training opener on Saturday, two-time Gold Glove winner Trent Grisham showed off two of his hitting strengths.
