STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Career-minded women on Staten Island are being offered a direct line to top ranking members of the NYPD.
Held in each of the city’s five boroughs, the “Yes Queen” program is “all about empowering local women of the community who are professionals,” reads a press release issued this week by the department.
A meet-and-greet to kickoff the initiative is slated for Thursday, 5:30 p.m. at the St. John’s University Campus on Grymes Hill, on the second floor of the Kelleher Center.
The event is being hosted by NYPD First Deputy Commissioner Tania Kinsella, a Staten Island and former borough precinct commander.
