Joseph Squillacioti, an 18-year-old student at Binghamton University, led every step of the way Sunday and captured first place at the seventh annual SSG Michael Ollis 5K Run, held through the streets of New Dorp. Squillacioti was timed in 16 minutes, 4 seconds, on a warm and humid day.
Olga Kosichenko, at age 35, still a nationally ranked middle-distance runner, pulled away from a good local field late in the race to take the womenโs crown in 18:32.
