Two more Staten Island hotels are now sheltering migrants, local pols say

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Two Staten Island hotels became the latest emergency shelters this week, set up to help address New York City’s ongoing migrant crisis, two local elected officials announced Friday night.

Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (R-Staten Island/South Brooklyn) and Borough President Vito Fossella issued a joint statement saying that 35 units at the Ramada Inn in Willowbrook and 32 units at the former Staten Island Motor Lodge in Rosebank have been used to shelter migrants since Thursday.
