Wow! NY Lottery winner hits 2 $10M jackpots on scratch-off tickets

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A Brooklyn man has more than just a little bit of luck.

Wayne Murray of Brooklyn claimed a $10,000,000 top prize on the New York Lottery’s 200X scratch-off game after claiming another $10,000,000 top prize on the Lottery’s Black Titanium ticket in 2022, officials announced Tuesday.

Murray opted for a single lump sum payment of $6,122,400 on his 200X winnings, the ticket for which he purchased at H&A Gas & Convenience located at 4102 Ave. H in Brooklyn, the same store he purchased his 2022 winning ticket.

Both games cost $30, the highest price point for New York Lottery scratch-offs, and $10 million is the largest one-time prize available from the empire state’s scratch-off games.

In an interview with the New York Post, Murray described himself as “extremely” religious but said he hopes to keep a low profile.

“Some of us just like to be discreet. I just want to be discreet, that’s all it is,” he said.

Odds of winning the 200X scratch-off game are 1 in 3.64 million, and the odds of winning the Black Titanium game are 1 in 3.53 million, according to New York Lottery officials.

As of Tuesday there was one top prize remaining on the 200X ticket. Hopeful players can check the status of any New York Lottery scratch-off game by downloading the Game Report at nylottery.ny.gov.
