Yankees manager Aaron Boone’s reshaped coaching staff is complete.
Pat Roessler, who worked in Yankees’ player development from 2005-14, is returning to the organization as assistant hitting coach, a team source told NJ Advance Media on Friday night.
Roessler, 64, has lots of experience. He was hitting coach for the Montreal Expos from 2000-01 and for the Mets hitting coach from 2015-18. The last three years, he was an assistant hitting coach for the Nationals.
The Phoenix native replaces Brad Wilkerson, who was let go after one season.

In Roessler’s first stint with the Yankees, he served as director of player development, minor-league manager, field coordinator and a minor-league hitting coach. In 2006, he managed Low-A Charleston to a 78-62 record.
