STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Most stores have announced Thanksgiving closures this year, and Black Friday schedules are not as extensive as they used to be. But retailers are still altering their operating hours this holiday season.
Hereโs a look at this yearโs Thanksgiving and Black Friday store hours, according to BlackFriday.com, but always check your locationโs hours before you shop.
WHATโS OPEN ON THANKSGIVING:
Big Lots: Open from 7 a.m. until 9 p.m.
CVS: The drugstore keeps its 24-hour locations open on holidays, including Thanksgiving.
Dollar General: Stores will be opened from 7 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Thanksgiving, with some closings varying per location.
Dollar Tree: Stores will be open for their regular hours, which vary by location.
Family Dollar: Stores will be open for their regular hours, which vary by location.
Rite Aid: Pharmacies will be closed, but Staten Island Rite Aid stores will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Starbucks: Select locations will be open for limited Thanksgiving hours. This is in keeping with past years. However, many will be closed or will opt to close early. So check your preferred locationโs plans ahead of time.

Barnes & Noble — 8 a.m.
Bath & Body Works โ 6 a.m.
Best Buy — 5 a.m.
Burlington โ 7 a.m.
Costco — 9 a.m.
Dickโs Sporting Goods — 6 a.m.
Five Below โ 8 a.m.
GameStop โ 5 a.m.
Gap — 8 a.m., select locations
Hobby Lobby โ 9 a.m.
Home Depot โ 6 a.m.
JCPenney — 5 a.m.
Kohlโs — 5 a.m.
Loweโs โ 6 a.m.
Macyโs — 6 a.m.
Michaels — 7 a.m.
Old Navy — 5 a.m.
Target โ 7 a.m.
Ulta — 6 a.m.
Walmart — 5 a.m.
The Staten Island Mall in New Springville will be closed on Thanksgiving. However, the shopping center will be open on Black Friday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., according to the Mallโs website.
