Four men were shot, one fatally, in a blaze of bullets fired in the Bronx near a public park on Friday afternoon, police said.
The gunfire erupted at around 2:30 p.m. near Walter Gladwin Park, in the vicinity of East Tremont and Hughes Avenue, leaving a 24-year-old man dead.
The 24-year-old was shot in the torso and declared dead at St. Barnabas Hospital.

A second victim was also shot in the torso and is listed in critical condition at St. Barnabas. The other two men were also taken to St. Barnabas and are listed in stable condition, with one shot in the ankle and the other in the backside.ย ย ย ย
Officers from theย 48th Precinct responded to the incident. Itโs believed the suspect was holed up at a nearby location on East 178th Street, about a block away from the shooting scene, before being nabbed.
The suspect is in custody, police said. No arrests have yet been made.ย
