Police have brought in four suspects for questioning after a 70-year-old woman was found dead inside of a trash bag inside of a Mott Haven apartment building Thursday afternoon.
Police from the 40th Precinct responded to a 911 call regarding an aided female inside of 322 Grand Concourse just before 2 p.m. on March 21. Upon their arrival, officers found the 70-year-old woman — whose identity has not yet been released — stuffed inside a garbage bag inside a bedroom in the apartment, according to an NYPD spokesperson.
EMS pronounced the woman dead at the scene. Her identity is being withheld pending family notification.
Reports indicate that the woman was in town visiting family, but police could not confirm that detail as of Friday morning.
A police spokesperson said four suspects were taken in for questioning, but there have been no official arrests as of 7 a.m. Friday morning.
The investigation is ongoing.
