4-year-old boy falls to death from four-story window in Brooklyn

A four-year-old boy fell to his death from the fourth floor of a Brooklyn apartment building on Monday.

The preschool-aged boy landed in an alley after falling from the top floor of the Farragut Road building near New York Ave. at 3:57 p.m. in East Flatbush, according to police.

Ashley Lewis was riding in the back seat of her cousinโ€™s car when she spotted the childโ€™s mangled body in the alley behind the four-story, red-brick building.

โ€œI said, โ€˜That looks like a baby,โ€™โ€ Lewis recalled. โ€œHis head was already bleeding. It was spilling from his mouth, his nose and his ears.โ€

The good Samaritan rushed to the childโ€™s aid but found him suffering horrific wounds and immediately called 911.

โ€œHis legs were turned like they were broken,โ€ Lewis told the Daily News. โ€œHis eyes were turned and his hands were cold.โ€

A 12-year-old boy who lives across the street witnessed the victimโ€™s wounds as medics rolled him into the ambulance.

โ€œThey were bleeding and the head was cracked open,โ€ the youth said.
