A four-year-old boy fell to his death from the fourth floor of a Brooklyn apartment building on Monday.
The preschool-aged boy landed in an alley after falling from the top floor of the Farragut Road building near New York Ave. at 3:57 p.m. in East Flatbush, according to police.
Ashley Lewis was riding in the back seat of her cousinโs car when she spotted the childโs mangled body in the alley behind the four-story, red-brick building.
โI said, โThat looks like a baby,โโ Lewis recalled. โHis head was already bleeding. It was spilling from his mouth, his nose and his ears.โ
The good Samaritan rushed to the childโs aid but found him suffering horrific wounds and immediately called 911.

โHis legs were turned like they were broken,โ Lewis told the Daily News. โHis eyes were turned and his hands were cold.โ
A 12-year-old boy who lives across the street witnessed the victimโs wounds as medics rolled him into the ambulance.
โThey were bleeding and the head was cracked open,โ the youth said.
Paramedics rushed the 4-year-old to Kings County Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, cops said.
Building residents were horrified to learn of the childโs grisly fate.
โThat is very disturbing,โ said a woman who declined to give her name. โI canโt imagine.โ
The victimโs family declined to comment.
