Amtrak has canceled more than a dozen trains along its Northeast Corridor today due to freezing temperatures — leaving commuters, well, out in the cold.
According to the agency’s website, the Northeast Corridor is just one of many regions where train travel will be frozen by the frigid air and winter storms. Trains have also been canceled as far away as Texas, Missouri and Seattle, although the New York region appears to be the most affected.

Customers with tickets for any of the canceled trains will be able to transfer their rides to another date or time, according to the agency. Amtrak will also waive additional charges for any customers looking to change their reservations while service is curtailed.
Planes, subways and buses around New York City are so far running normally – except for the airtrain to JFK airport, which is also suspended because of the weather, according to a Port Authority spokesperson.
Passengers looking to ride the JFK Airtrain can instead take The NYC Airporter Bus directly to the airport from Grand Central Station, or local buses along the Q3, Q6, Q7, Q10, Q10 LTD and B15 lines.
The Newark airport airtrain has resumed service after being suspended earlier this morning, per the Port Authority.
