If you love ice skating, thereโs one more reason to lace up.
A new ice skating rink, called Glide, opened in DUMBO on Wednesday inside Brooklyn Bridge Park. The rink will be open daily through March 1, 2024.
Tucked into Emily Warren Roebling Plaza, the rink is steps from Janeโs Carousel, with views of the Manhattan skyline and the Brooklyn Bridge.

โIce skating beside the Brooklyn Bridge has been part of the plan since before park construction began in 2008, and weโre thrilled to see this coming to life,โ Brooklyn Bridge Park President Eric Landau said in a statement.
General admission starts at $15 for adults and $10 for children from Monday through Thursday. On Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, tickets are $25 for adults and $12 for children. Skate rentals are an additional $12.

Some discounted skate sessions will be available to New York City residents all season long at the Glide website; proof of residency will be required for entry.
Additionally, some free tickets will be available on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and on Tuesdays from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. These can also be claimed online a week in advance.
The rink is operated as a partnership with Barclays Center parent company BSE Global, sports and events company IMG and the Brooklyn Bridge Park Corp.
In addition to Glide, the city parks department operates ice skating rinks in four of the city’s boroughs, many of which are also open now. You can learn more here.
