Judges from the Kings County Supreme Court ruled in favor of the carrot cheesecake on May 23 during a bar association event in Brooklyn Heights.
In a lighthearted event that was hosted by the Chabad Tzedek Society with the Brooklyn Bar Association and the Brooklyn Brandeis Society, a group of judges and a lawyer participated in a โCheesecake Tastingโ at the Brooklyn Bar Association.

Rabbi Eliyahu Raskin moderated the event. The judges included Hon. Ellen Spodek, who is president of the Brooklyn Brandeis Society, Hon. Katherine Levine, Hon. Lawrence Knipel, the administrative judge of the Kings County Supreme Court, Civil Term, Hon. Mark Partnow, Howard Teich, and Hon. Rachel Freier.

The event was a gathering for Shavuot, which is also known as the Feast of Weeks, is a significant Jewish holiday that celebrates the giving of the Torah to the Jews by God at Mount Sinai, and also commemorates the end of the grain harvest season in Israel.

Shavuot is typically observed through all-night Torah study, attending synagogue services to hear the recitation of the Ten Commandments, and enjoying traditional dairy foods. Synagogues and homes are also adorned with flowers and greenery, symbolizing the blooming of Mount Sinai when the Torah was given.
The final three cheesecakes came down to a chocolate marble, a raspberry and carrot, and it wasnโt particularly close as the judges went with the carrot cheesecake in a unanimous decisionโฆ with chocolate marble beating out raspberry.
