A 28-year-old man was fatally shot in the Bronx on Thursday, according to police.
The victim was walking with the aid of a cane on E. 223rd St. near Carpenter Ave. when an unknown shooter approached and blasted him in the side, cop sources said.
The man, believed to be the killerโs intended target, took a few more steps before collapsing paces away from Woodlawn Cemetery.
First responders took the victim to Jacobi Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His name was withheld pending family notification.
No arrests have been made in the case.
The cold-blooded killing took place in the 47th Precinct, which had seen only one other murder as of Sunday, according to NYPD stats.
