A car driver plowed into a cyclist and three pedestrians in Gramercy Park, Manhattan, on Sunday — killing one of them — according to police.
The 26-year-old driver of the Hyundai Sonata was taken into custody, with charges pending after the horrifying 8:16 p.m. crash at E. 21st St. and Third Ave., cops said.
A man died at the scene, while the other two pedestrians and the cyclist were taken to Bellevue Hospital, according to police. Details about the victims and their conditions were not immediately known.
A doorman who works near the scene described noise from the crash as “an explosion like a bomb,” saying, “It rattled my door.”
“Some people were screaming. Some other ones were taking pictures,” the witness, who declined to give his name, told the Daily News.
“A man was on the ground. He wasn’t moving — he was gone,” the doorman added. “A woman was on the floor. She has two broken legs, she was screaming.”
