Welcome to Wednesday in New York City where a fish fell on a transformer and caused a power outage for our New Jersey neighbors. An investigation into the Sayreville power outage is still underway, but the theory is that a bird may have dropped the fish on top of the transformer while flying.

- A 28-year-old veterinary technician is suing her boss over claims that the Upper West Side vet forced her to take x-rays, lift heavy animals and clean cat litter boxes (a danger to pregnant people), and then fired her for calling in late due to morning sickness.

- More than two dozen Boston Market locations throughout New Jersey were issued stop work orders from the state Department of Labor until they pay $2.5 million in back wages, fines and other penalties for violating workers rights laws.
- Cops are searching for a woman who accidentally hit a child in the head with a skee ball after throwing it during an argument.
- Opera News, a publication that has been around for 87 years and with a circulation of over 40,000, will come to an end in November.
