Welcome to Wednesday in New York City, where a Queens woman was shocked to learn her Starbucks Strawberry Acai Refresher doesn’t actually contain any strawberries.
In fact, the civil suit the woman filed argues that Starbucks is misleading customers about all of their refresher drinks as the Mango Dragonfruit doesn’t have any mango, and the same for the Pineapple Passionfruit variety. Starbucks tried to have the case dismissed by claiming that the drinks are named for their flavors, not their ingredients, but a Manhattan judge is allowing the case to proceed.
