People have been getting sick lately, both locally and beyond, and the illnesses have been linked to vibrio vulnificus, a potentially life-threatening condition that can be contracted through consuming oysters. And experts say cases of vibrio may only get worse with climate change as the bacteria thrives in warm coastal waters.
