A 44-year-old ex-con was killed in a drive-by shooting in Washington Heights, police said Thursday.
The victim was shot in the head and chest by a gunman in a passing dark-colored SUV on Riverside Drive near W. 163rd St. about 9:55 p.m. Wednesday, cops said.
Medics rushed the victim to Lincoln Hospital but he could not be saved.
The SUV was last seen heading uptown on Riverside Drive. No arrests have been made.
Police said the victim served times in state prison for a drug conviction and was paroled in 2019. His name was not immediately released.
