An ex-con on lifetime parole after serving 18 years in prison for murder was stabbed to death on a Manhattan street early Thursday, cops said.
A woman walking past the corner of W. 158th St. and Riverside Drive in Washington Heights found the 45-year-old victim leaning over a garbage can buckled over in pain about 5:15 a.m., cops said.
When the woman approached, he collapsed onto the ground.
First responders quickly discovered he had been stabbed in the chest.
Medics rushed the victim to Mount Sinai Morningside, where he died. His name was not immediately released.
No weapon was found at the scene and it wasnโt immediately clear if he was stabbed at that corner or another location.
Cops were scouring the area for surveillance footage that could help track his movements before his collapse.
The victim was convicted in 2000 of committing a murder in Queens, according to court documents. He was released from prison in 2018 on lifetime parole.
No arrests have been made in his killing.
