During the argument, another man, believed to be Smithโs son, approached to intervene and then called on several friends for help, according to the witness, a construction engineer who asked not to be named for fear of retribution.
The reinforcements arrived and began to beat Morgan to the ground, the man said. One of the attackers then shot Morgan.
โThe shot went through his chest and out the back. He went down and I went over to help him. I told her that I was four years in the Army and not to touch him. I told him not to move. He couldnโt speak. There was so much blood coming from his mouth,โ the witness said.
