Man, 25, fatally shot on Bronx sidewalk a block from his home

A 25-year-old man was shot

in the torso outside an apartment building on E. 180th St. near Vyse Ave. in the Bronx about 11:30 p.m. Saturday, police said. Medics rushed him to St. Barnabas Hospital but he could not be saved.

Isiah Johnson lived about a block from where he was shot. His father answered the door Sunday but declined to comment on his son’s death.

The killing happened about seven hours after a fatal shooting in the Bronx about three miles away.

Miguel Molina, 220, was fatally shot in the chest outside his apartment building in NYCHA’s Eastchester Gardens Houses on Adee Ave. in Allerton.

Police were looking for three suspects who fled through the complex courtyard after the 4:40 p.m. shooting.

Cops have no indication the two slayings are linked, an NYPD spokesman said.
