A man was found dead Monday morning on the tracks under a subway train in Brooklyn, according to police.
First responders were called to the scene at the Rockaway Avenue subway station in Brownsville around 6:27 a.m. Police said the man was discovered under a northbound 4 train and was pronounced dead about 10 minutes later.
The NYPD was not sure how he got onto the tracks but did not suspect any criminality. The manโs identity was still unknown.
The incident led to early morning service disruptions on the 3 line, which normally runs to Rockaway Avenue but was stopping and turning around at Crown Heights-Utica Avenue instead.
By 8:15 a.m., service had resumed between Crown Heights-Utica Avenue and New Lots Avenue, according to the MTA.
The agency warned riders to expect delays on the 3 and 4 trains for the morning commute.
The incident comes after a 19-year-old man was found dead between the cars of an E train in Queens last week. No criminality was suspected in that incident either.
