A 28-year-old man was shot in the head on a Lower East Side street early Sunday, leaving him clinging to life, cops said.
The victim, who cops say live in the Bronx, was blasted in the head and torso near Orchard and Stanton Sts. just before 3 a.m., cops said.
Witnesses were overheard telling police at the scene the two men had just exited Zazzyโs Pizza and were quarreling when one shot the other. The neighborhood was buzzing with nightlife when shots rang out.
Medics took the victim to Bellevue Hospital in critical condition.
The suspect, who wore a white T-shirt, ran off west on Stanton St. and has not been caught, cops said.
