Masked man with assault rifle robs $900 from Staten Island convenience store: NYPD

Police are looking for help identifying a masked man who robbed a Staten Island convenience store with a high-powered rifle.

The man, dressed in a black vest, black pants and a black T-shirt, burst into the Veterans Convenience Store on Veterans Road West around 11:30 p.m. Saturday pointing what looked like an assault rifle at the cashier and demanding money, according to cops.

The suspect, a white man in his late 30s or 40s, had on a blue mask around his face, safety glasses and work gloves, according to a video of the stickup released by the NYPD.

The store worker forked over $900, which the suspect snatched up before fleeing the shop, the footage shows.
