Mindy Jeng appointed as Special Counsel to OCA’s Executive Director

The Office of Court Administration announced the appointment of a new special counsel to its executive director Justin Barry on Thursday.

Chief Administrative Judge Joseph Zayas and First Deputy Chief Administrative Judge Norman St. George announced the appointment of Mindy Jeng as Special Counsel to the Executive Director.

Jeng, a seasoned attorney boasting broad-based experience, steps into this pivotal role with a robust background in legal and administrative functions within OCA. 

She had adeptly juggled roles in the Executive Office and Counsel’s Office, contributing keen insights and analysis related to court system policies, procedures and standards. Her appointment is aligned with OCA’s ongoing restructuring.

In her new capacity, Jeng is tasked with acting as a deputy to Justin Barry. Her responsibilities will encompass oversight of the management and divisions of OCA. The organization plays an instrumental role in offering support services to courts, encapsulating areas like court research, security, facilities planning, financial management, human resources, jury support and technology.

Jeng’s illustrious career within OCA has seen her spearheading multiple initiatives, earning her accolades from her peers for her impeccable legal expertise, institutional knowledge and work ethic.
