A 33-year-old motorcycle rider died after crashing into the side of a pickup truck on a Staten Island highway, cops said Sunday.
Michael Bugliaro, of Whiting, N.J., was weaving between lanes when he crashed riding north on the West Shore Expressway about 5 p.m. Saturday, cops said.
He struck the driver’s side door of a 2008 Dodge pickup truck changing lanes near Poplar Ave. in Rossville and then lost control and fell off his 2009 Suzuki motorcycle, police said.
Bugliaro died at the scene.
The 52-year-old truck driver remained at the scene and was not hurt, police said. He faced no immediate charges.
The NYPD’s Collision Investigation Squad is investigating the wreck.
