No Queensboro Plaza trains all weekends in January

Queensboro Plaza, a highly trafficked station in Long Island City, will have no subway service all weekends in January.

The station, which serves the 7, N and W lines, will be closed off for accessibility and general site upgrades, including a new elevator from its mezzanine to platform levels and CCTV installation, according to the MTA.

The pause in weekend service — starting the weekend of Jan. 6 and ending on Jan. 29, the last Monday of the month — will run from 12:01 a.m. each Saturday through 5 a.m. the following Monday.

There will be no 7 train service between Queens and Manhattan on those weekends.

Queensboro Plaza has been undergoing a series of construction projects over the past year as part of the agency’s goal to make the station fully accessible.

The Q, F and L lines will also see partial suspensions. Q trains will not be running between Manhattan and Brooklyn, and only operating between Prospect Park and Coney Island/Stillwell Avenue, to accommodate track replacement work.
