Children of Promise, NYC (CPNYC), a nonprofit dedicated to supporting children with incarcerated parents, has been awarded a $2 million grant from MacKenzie Scottโ€™s Yield Giving Open Call.ย

CPNYC stands out as the sole organization in New York City, offering an afterschool program specifically tailored to the needs of these children. This contribution will enable CPNYC to expand its services, including critical mental health care, and extend its reach to more families affected by mass incarceration, it said.

With over 105,000 children in New York state living with the trauma of a parent in prison, CPNYCโ€™s work is as crucial as ever.ย
