Police said Friday they discovered a body without a head and arms on the beach in Breezy Point, Queens.
Officials said they responded to the scene shortly after noon on Friday in response to a 911 call.
The victim has not been identified and police are investigating, according to the NYPD. The city’s medical examiner will identify a cause of death.
A spokesperson for the department could not immediately identify the person’s sex. Police had no immediate further details.
