A man riding a 1 train passing through Times Square early Thursday morning was stabbed in the head multiple times by an unknown assailant, according to police.
Cops said a 52-year-old man was in a northbound subway car at around 2:20 a.m. when he was attacked after some sort of verbal dispute.
It’s unclear what the dispute was about, but police said the suspect pulled out a sharp object and stabbed the victim multiple times.
He was taken to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition with puncture wounds, but no serious injuries, police said.
The suspect fled south on the northbound platform and left the station on foot, police said.
No arrests have been made.
