Shot dead, two others wounded in Bronx, NYPD says

Three men were shot, one fatally, on a Bronx street, police said Monday.

Shots rang out on West Farms Road near E. 174th St. about 9:15 p.m. Sunday, cops said.

When officers arrived they found Jeremy Cancel, 34, shot in the upper body. He was rushed by medics to St. Barnabas Hospital but could not be saved.

Two other men, both 29, later showed up at St. Barnabas Hospital. One had been shot in the upper body, the other in the torso. Both are in stable condition.

Police recovered three shell casings at the scene but donโ€™t yet know who was targeted and why.

Cancel, who lived in Yonkers, had nine past arrests, including for drugs, gun possession and robbery, according to cops.
