Zaire Allen, 19, was extradited Wednesday from Maryland and charged with murder, robbery and gun possession for the slaying of Alonza Georgia inside NYCHA’s St. Nicholas Houses.

Georgia, 24, was struck in the chest in the building on W. 131st St. near Adam Clayton Powell Blvd. about 9 p.m. March 26 and died a day later at Harlem Hospital.

Allen lives in Philadelphia, according to cops. He was ordered held without bail after pleading not guilty during his arraignment in Manhattan Criminal Court Wednesday.

The victim’s mother, speaking shortly after his death, remembered him fondly.

“A gentle giant, a teddy bear,” Elaine Francis told the Daily News. “Everybody said good things. He was a good brother. They’d sit on the phone: ‘I love you! I love you too! I love you more.’ Gift of gab. That smile.”

Georgia worked as a deliveryman.
