Two girls, from Bronx and Brooklyn, reported missing, police say

Two girls were reported missing Thursday night from Brooklyn and the Bronx, according to the NYPD.

Police said 11-year-old Alexa Lawson left her Brownsville home to go to school Thursday morning at around 7:30 a.m., but never returned at the end of the day.

She was last seen wearing her beige school uniform, as well as a long white jacket with fur on the hood, a yellow star backpack, black eyeglasses and Jordan sneakers, according to cops. She is described as 4โ€™11โ€ and about 110 pounds with a dark complexion and a slim build.

Around 7 p.m., 15-year-old Brithany Yanchapanta was reported missing from her home in the Bronxโ€™s Castle Hill neighborhood, according to police.

She was last seen wearing a black coat, camouflage pants and a black backpack, and is described as about 5โ€™ tall and 110 pounds with a light complexion, brown eyes, long black hair and a slim build.

Police said both girls are in good mental and physical health.
