Once again, a power surge is expected to come from New York this season.ย

Two members of the Yankees, Aaron Judge and Juan Soto, and Pete Alonso of the Mets are three of the top five favorites to lead Major League Baseball in home runs in 2024, according to DraftKings.ย

Judge is the odds-on favorite at +350 after putting up gaudy power numbers in his limited time on the field last season. He followed up his MVP-winning, 62-home-run 2022 season with 37 home runs in 106 games last year โ€” a campaign cut short due to a toe injury that held him out for 50-plus games.ย

Had he played 157 games as he did in 2022, Judgeโ€™s pace would have put him at 55 home runs.

He has dealt with an abdominal issue this spring that shut him down from swinging a bat, but Steamer projects that heโ€™ll hit 46 home runs this season.ย

Pete Alonso Mets

Over in Queens, Alonso is projected to have a third-straight 40-plus home-run season as he continues to assault the Metsโ€™ power-hitting record books.ย

No player in Major League Baseball has hit more home runs than Alonso since he entered the league in 2019 and the recent acquisition of JD Martinez will help the slugger get some more pitches to hit in 2024. At +700, Alonso is the third favorite to lead the league in homers.

Despite not hitting more than 35 home runs in a season, Soto is projected to have a big year in the Bronx after being acquired by the Yankees in a blockbuster deal with the San Diego Padres this offseason.ย

A lefty set to take advantage of the short porch in right field, Steamer has him hitting 38 home runs while DraftKings has put +900 odds on him to lead the majors in round-trippers in 2024.

2024 MLB odds: Most home runs

  • Aaron Judge (NYY) +350
  • Matt Olson (ATL) +600
  • Pete Alonso (NYM) +700
  • Kyle Schwarber…
