Phil Steck is serving his 6th term as the NYS assemblyman for the 110th district, which includes Colonie, Niskayuna, Guilderland and Schenectady.
Steck, of Colonie, is among the candidates being discussed in Democratic circles as a possible selection at the party’s nomination convention later this summer.
He is the son of Ernest, a high school athletic director, and Roselyn, a middle school teacher.Â
The assemblyman acts at the chairman of the Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Committee and a member of Health, Insurance, Judiciary, Labor and Oversight and Investigations Committees.
During football season, Steck closely follows the New York Giants. This season, that following was cut short when the team was knocked out of the NFL playoffs. He then turned his attention to local teams and anticipating Mets pitchers and catcher reporting for spring training.
You can follow Steck, who is today’s 20 things, on Facebook.
