Margie Philo, managing broker with Berkshire Hathaway Adirondack Premier Properties, confirmed that Brown is one of two buyers interested in the property on North Broadway.
โWe are negotiating with him,โ Philo said. โWe are not able to discuss anything further at this time.โ
The 20,000-square-foot Rococo-style mansion sits on 1.3 acres and features six bedrooms, 13 bathrooms, two kitchens, four fireplaces, a five-car garage, bowling alley, movie theater and elevator. It was built in 2003 by socialite Micheleย Riggi and her late husband, Ron Riggi, who died in August.ย
Philo, who is also the realtor forย Riggiโs Lake Placid property that is on the market for $15 million, said the Saratoga Springs mansion is also being considered by one other buyer whom she describes as a โwealthy individual with a large portfolio of homes.โ
Ryan Larkin, a spokesperson for Brown, could not immediately be reached for comment Tuesday.
Brown, known to fans as AB, bought a stake in the Albany Empire football team in March for an undisclosed price, and doubled it to 95 percent last month.

Though he has a 2020 Super Bowl win with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, his career has been marred by controversy. He was suspended for eight games in 2020 for multiple violations of the NFLโs personal conduct policy. He pleaded no contest to burglary and battery charges in Florida and was accused of sending intimidating text messages to a woman who had accused him of unwanted advances.
