SARATOGA SPRINGS – Fifteen elementary school students were in a bus that was rear-ended by a car Tuesday morning.
All of the students were okay, said spokeswoman Maura Manny.
The bus was heading to Geyser Road Elementary School and stopped at a bus stop, Manny said.
While the bus was stopped, a car hit it, crumpling one corner of the car and damaging the rear right corner of the bus. State Police responded to the call and ticketed the driver of the car.
The school district sent another bus to pick up the students, who got to school just after classes began.
New York law requires other drivers to come to a complete stop at least 20 feet away from a bus picking up or dropping off children.
