Nationwide Arena in Columbus says it is making plans to reschedule the show
Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band’s show in Columbus, Ohio was postponed because of illness Thursday, just five days before the band is scheduled to play in Albany.
Nationwide Arena says it was working to reschedule the concert. In its announcement, the arena did not identify who was ill. Members of the band, including guitarist Steven Van Zandt and violinist Soozie Tyrell, have missed shows after getting COVID-19 but the concerts were not canceled.
So far, there is no word on whose illness forced Thursday’s postponement.
Springsteen is scheduled to play at the MVP Arena in Albany on March 14. Before then, the band is scheduled to play at Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut on Sunday. So far, neither of those shows has been postponed.
The 73-year-old rocker is on his first tour with the E Street Band in six years. He’ll play shows in Europe during the spring and summer before returning to the U.S. for stadium concerts in the late summer and fall.
