TROY – The crowd Monday was not remotely as large or as enthusiastic as it was last year when the Duanesburg girls’ basketball team competed for its first sectional title against Greenwich. Part of the reason was because the game was moved up to 3 p.m. because of the impending snowstorm and another reason is the boys’ basketball team was playing an hour later in Glens Falls.

Duanesburg (18-5) returns to HVCC Friday night to compete in the Class CC/C playoff to determine which area squad will represent Section II in the state playoffs. The Class CC title game is scheduled to be played Tuesday between No. 1 seed Greenwich and No. 3 seed Corinth.
