GUILDERLAND — Fischbach USA’s plant in the Guilderland Industrial Park is closing, with the operation’s 27 employees expected to be off the job on the Aug. 1 closing date.

The announcement was noted in the state Department of Labor’s WARN Act listing.

That law requires advance notice of closings or layoffs, according to federal labor regulations.

Officials from Fischbach didn’t return calls on Monday.

Fischbach USA is a division of the German company that makes cartridges for dispensing adhesives, sealants and other materials.

They also have plants at their U.S. headquarters in Elizabethtown, Ky., and Dallas. It wasn’t immediately clear if those plants were closing, downsizing or expanding.
