Warmer weather is here, and food trucks are filling the streets again with various cuisines at local markets, outdoor activities, and around the Capitol. Here is another Q&A in our occasional series on area food trucks and their operators. This week, we talked with Orah LeHockey, owner of Emack and Bolio’s.

Emack and Bolio’s Ice Cream Truck is a vintage food truck from 1974, that was repainted to match our fun, funky vibes. The truck gives a taste of the Emack experience on the road.
How would you describe Emack and Bolio’s food truck’s culture?Â
Emack and Bolio’s is all about having a fun and friendly environment. The funky, colorful vibes of the vintage ice cream truck fully encompass that. Serving sweets to people all around the Capital Region in our truck also brings attention to our unique brick-and-mortar storefront (on Delaware Avenue in Albany) which has all the positive traits of the truck and more.Â
What are the crowd favorites on your menu?Â
A crowd favorite is, for sure, the Toasted S’moreo ice cream. All of our ice creams are unique and delicious, and there is something for everyone! We have vegan flavors, too.Â
How can people find you? Do you have regular stops?Â
We cater all around the Capital District. You can find us at many local cultural events and festivals, like the Tulip Fest, and Empire State Plaza events, Art on Lark. We also cater to private events, as well. We cater weddings, birthday parties, graduations, etc. The truck can come to all celebrations. To book events, people can email [email protected].Â
