BALLSTON SPA – Over 130 unionized Saratoga County employees including those at the jail and 911 center will get raises under a new three-year contract agreement, county officials said Friday.
The Board of Supervisors approved the labor pact with the United Public Service Employees Union last week.
The contract gives union members a one-year $4,000 wage increase retroactive to Jan. 1, 2023, and incorporates a 2.95 percent raise in 2024 and 2025.
The supervisors said this will help the county attract and retain both corrections officers and 911 dispatchers, which the county critically needs. All affected employees will increase their health care contribution and will pay increased co-pays for health insurance services.
It also covers civil clerks and jail staff, the county said.
