CLUMS CORNERS — Less than 10 minutes after the conclusion of Wednesday’s Wasaren League softball game between Hoosick Falls and Tamarac, the light rain that surrounded the entire contest turned extremely heavy. Just about 10 minutes into the game, Hoosick Falls found itself submerged under a deluge of runs scored by the Bengals.
Tamarac erupted for eight runs in the second inning and senior pitcher Moira Collins quelled the Panthers until the final inning as the Bengals registered a 11-1 victory.

The Panthers entered the game riding a six-game winning streak.

“We had some good timely hits and situational at bats,” Marsh said. “Everyone sort of passed the torch and made it happen.”
Addy Ferris, who went 2-for-3 at the plate, was joined by teammates Toni DeLorenzo, Alex Castiglione and Natalya Horton in each driving in two runs. Collins struck out the side in both the second and sixth innings. Ferris and Castiglione followed each other in the batting order and both delivered two-run singles from the No. 7 and 8 spots, respectively, in the second inning to highlight the uprising.
